Des bases solides conduiront l&rsquo;enfant \u00e0 tirer ensuite le maximum de profit des p\u00e9riodes d&rsquo;apprentissage. On y apprend ensuite ses premi\u00e8res nages qui peuvent \u00eatre le dos,\u00a0la brassse et le crawl, le choix des nages enseign\u00e9es \u00e9tant variables d&rsquo;un groupe \u00e0 l&rsquo;autre, chaque \u00e9quipe p\u00e9dagogique pouvant avoir ses propres crit\u00e8res mais bien s\u00fbr d\u00e9finis \u00e0 l&rsquo;avance. A cet \u00e2ge, l&rsquo;enfant a une tr\u00e8s bonne capacit\u00e9 d&rsquo;apprentissage pour des mouvements simples. Par contre, sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 fixer ces apprentissages est moindre que celle de l&rsquo;adulte et il aura donc besoin de r\u00e9p\u00e9titions pour consolider ses progr\u00e8s. A\u00a0cet \u00e2ge, l&rsquo;augmentation de la carrure entra\u00eene des proportions corporelles plus harmonieuses, la force s&rsquo;accro\u00eet et la ma\u00eetrise physique s&rsquo;am\u00e9liore. C&rsquo;est une p\u00e9riode favorable pour l&rsquo;assimilation de gestes plus pr\u00e9cis. Le papillon peut d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00eatre abord\u00e9 en commen\u00e7ant par des ondulations et des \u00e9ducatifs. L&rsquo;adolescent va acqu\u00e9rir des savoir faire particuliers. Les performances conna\u00eetront une progression plus spectaculaire avec des entra\u00eenements plus intensifs. On transf\u00e8re les acquis \u00e0 des allures plus rapides et\u00a0\u00a0l&rsquo;adolescent\u00a0apprend \u00e0 g\u00e9rer son rythme. C&rsquo;est en particulier un \u00e2ge propice au d\u00e9veloppement de la fr\u00e9quence gestuelle et un \u00e2ge\u00a0privill\u00e9gi\u00e9 pour le d\u00e9veloppement du VO2 max (consommation maximale d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne).
